The picture showed her with an unnatural smile, the sort she always put on when she saw a camera swing her way. Jake let a small smile of his own slip out before turning to the real subject of the picture - the tower she was posing in front of.
He studied the support structure, but his eyes were repeatedly drawn back to her. She was wearing the most stereotypical tourist outfit they'd managed to put together, and they'd had a grand time touring around taking photos of all the targets they'd been assigned. That they were all in beautiful locations was merely a happy coincidence.

He put the photo in the envelope with the others, and picked up the apple from his desk. He hesitated just a moment before biting into it, but reminded himself that this one was fine. It wasn't like the one that had sent her into convulsions - he had kept it in sight since he bought it.
Somebody had broken into their hotel room while they were out getting that last photo, he was sure of that now. There hadn't been any obvious sign, but after she had died, he checked the rest of their food and it had all been tampered with.
