The veins in some leaves
The leaves to the right are from a plant that grows next to my front door. I happened to notice them one day while they were backlit, and took the picture to the right. The veins turned out sharper in the picture, if anything, than they looked to my eyes.
As with other black and white photos, though, the scans really don't do it justice. The grey texture on the print is great, and the grain on black and white is all but invisible.
