Sunlight through a blue cup

The sparkling blue light on the counter caught my eye one morning as I was brushing my teeth. I'm a bit disappointed, but the picture is overall not bad. There was a lot more blue visible to my eyes than what showed up in the print, which is the disappointment. The light still is neat though.

I know that film can only capture about 1/10th the contrast that the human eye is capable of seeing; apparently that applies to some forms of colour as well. Or rather, not that it can't see all the colour, but our eyes adapt so well it sees something different.



Depth of field

This is the ornate wrought iron support for a patio table, taken with a very narrow depth of field, as you can see.
